Gillette, WY- The Catalyst Recruiting Group www.catgroupinc.com is working with a growing, dynamic, multi-national capital equipment manufacturer. This division is manufactures large industrial equipment for the construction and mining industries. The Electrical Drive Engineer will work directly with end users at/near a mining site to determine requirements and create AC & DC drive system specifications. This will involve developing the control theory required to meet design target and documentation while working with other engineers to specify proper drive components (ex. IGBT modules, DC to DC Converters, Chopper Modules and other associated hardware) This role will also work along with other engineers to design, install, test, analyze, and maintain the drive system components, equipment, and software, design proposals, specifications, manuals etc

ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED: -Bachelors degree (BSEE/EET, BSCE) or equivalent with four years control engineering or equivalent experience in an engineering environment. Travel to customer or supplier sites domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time. Knowledge of software programming tools (ex. CoDeSys, C++, etc.), communication protocols (ex. RS232, CanOpen, J1939, etc.), diagnostic tools necessary to verify software stability and function. Knowledge of control logic (ex. PID, Open loop control, etc.) Ability to write specifications that describe control functions. Mathematical concepts such as algebra, probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
