The primary purpose is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the organizationÂ's mission or are seldom handled.

·

Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.

Retrieves data and uses data to respond to a variety of customer, program review, and vendor inquiries.

·

Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.

Responds to specific case requests from offices/individuals desiring additional identification data, verification, and/or comparison of one-of-a-kind item or when deviations from normal supply procurement and acquisition programs are required.

·

Determines and maintains stock levels needed for items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.

·

Prepares recurring and special reports.

Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.

Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
O

ne (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-06) or equivalent.

Specialized experience must include t

horough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions and an intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items.

Ability to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts, such as special purpose laboratory or test equipment, prototypes of technical equipment requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, and/or items seldom handled.

Federal Time-In-Grade

(TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-06 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral.

The purpose of TIG restrictions is to prevent excessively rapid promotions in competitive service GS positions and to protect competitive principles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions.

2.

Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.

3.

Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.

4.

Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.

5.

Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.

6.

Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE

:

Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

:

1.

May be required to work other than normal duty hours such as rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, call back, holidays, etc.

May be required to participate in contingency situations, both real world and exercise.

4.

Must have or obtain a valid state driverÂ's license.
