Software Quality Assurance Specialist [United States]


 
Description:

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the software product by developing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, while working with development teams to ensure defects are addressed. This role requires a strong understanding of software development processes and testing methodologies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

    Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software products meet quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure testing aligns with those requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts.
  • Monitor and report on software quality metrics and recommend process improvements.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with performance and security testing.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database technologies.

  • In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be US Citizen and/or Current Green Card Holder.

Other Information:

  • The salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually
