The Murie Center seeks a dynamic Executive Director to lead the nonprofit organization to the next level. Established in 1998, The Murie Center celebrates and carries forward the legacy of the Murie families (Olaus, Mardy, Adolph and Louise), who were pioneers in the conservation and the wilderness movements. The Murie Ranch is a National Historic Landmark in Grand Teton National Park. In partnership with the Park, The Murie Center focuses on stewardship of the Murie conservation legacy and stewardship of the Murie Ranch. It serves as a catalyst and convener on conservation issues and leads programs! to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders. http/! /: www.muriecenter.org
The Executive Director, who oversees the management, administration, staff and finances of the organization, reports to the co-chairs of the Board of Directors and is responsible for executing the strategic plan. The Executive Director must offer a vision to the organization and inspire and motivate others in the Murie spirit. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership in nonprofit management, strong fundraising and development skills, personnel management, .financial oversight, and community outreach. Prior experience in natural resources, conservation, outdoor education or environmental fields is highly desirable. In addition , familiarity with public lands and public/private partnerships is a valuable credential. The candidate should have the ability to bring staff, volunteers, and community leaders together in a collaborative environment. The position requires excellent verbal and written communications skills, including public sp! eaking and media communications, as the Executive Director is the public face of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
5-10 years management, nonprofit or development experience
