The Laramie Boomerang seeks a reporter who can blend a creative way t! o tell a story with fundamental journalism. If you don’t know how to write narrative or alternative story formats (or don’t want to learn), then don’t apply.
The ideal candidate will need to have the work ethic to be part of our hyper-local, photo-centric, reader-friendly news team. He or she will also have a strong grasp of grammar and AP style. Photo experience preferred, but not necessary.
We are looking to expand our coverage on the University of Wyoming, and this would be the reporter's primary beat, along with other possible secondary beats and general assignment.
Pay ranges between $22,000 to $28,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The Boomerang offers health, dental and vision insurance, 401 K, a profit share and other benefits.
