The Allergy Coordinator works in conjunction with ENT providers to provide allergy care services, including but not limited to, allergy testing, allergen solution compounding for s! erial administration, administering allergen desensitization therapy, and monitoring responses to allergy therapy for prescribed patients. Responsible for performing limited allergy testing, processing and sending out of specimens and maintaining allergy serum, supplies, quality controls, and inventory related to the allergy treatment program. Additional duties include Medical Assistant responsibilities when not coordinating allergy clinic operation
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Certification program preferred. Must have current Healthcare Provider CPR or Red Cross Professional Rescuer Certification within 31 days of employment. One year medical assistant in clinic setting preferred. Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Successful completion of Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Allergen Immunotherapy Extract Preparation Test. Successful completion of VALITEQâ„¢ aseptic technique test.
