OB Manager

Provides leadership, administrative direction, and staffing for the patient care delivered in obstetrics and nursery according to the Scope of Service for Obstetrics. Is responsible for the day to day operation of OB. General ! management duties include: staffing, performance improvement, education, evaluates and documents performance, hiring and staff retention, active participation on multiple hospital committees, communicates organizational objectives to staff, and monitors revenues and expenses including salary and capital budget. Fosters a culture of patient safety on the unit.
Provide clinical direction for nursing personnel on a day-to-day basis. Act as clinical resource when census or acuity require it. Responsible for practicing and ensuring adherence to SJMC Corporate Compliance Program and participates in Performance Improvement Activities. Provides age and developmentally appropriate direct clinical care to newborns, adolescent, adult populations.
Qualifications: Current RN license in Wyoming, BLS and NRP at time of hire, BSN preferred. At least five years RN experience and 2 years of clinical experience in specialty area including experience as charge nurse, a! ssistant head nurse, or manager preferred. Demonstrates leader! ship abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills required.
