Management responsibility for all operations of the Business Office including admissions, billing and collections, reception and telephones, mailroom and courier services. Responsible for depa! rtment budget and financial controls, hiring, discipline, terminations, education and training, and QI activities, 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital. Hospital setting experience preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete hospital revenue cycle of operations including:
- Departmental operations
- Staffing Supervision
- Management
Required Skills
Ability to read, comprehend and interpret instructions, correspondence, and other documents such as safety, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals. Ability to define and write reports, memorandums, policies, minutes, job descriptions, evaluations, and other business and professional correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, as well as larger group situations such as staff, customers, clients, department managers, and other employees of the organization. Supervise Business Office areas including Admissions, Receptionist, Data Processing, Billing and Collections, Mailroom, and Courier.
Required Education
This position requires a 2-year Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or comparable work experience in business operations and accounting principles including accounts receivable and pay! able and credit and collections
Required Experience
3! -5 years current experience in hospital or comparable healthcare provider organization as a full charge business office manager.
