Position: Outside Plant Fielder This individual must be capable of securing the necessary field information, record verification, document preparation, data input, preparing work order construction prints, records posting. Must be able to make recommendations to vendor employees on all findings and needed changes. Must have a complete understanding of outside plant design principles, work order procedures, telephone industry standards and be in compliance with the latest revisions of the National Electric Safety Code, the National Electric Code, local and governmental jurisdiction and be in accordance with instructions supplied by vendor. Must have functional knowledge of PC applications and OSP record and/or computer aided drafting systems.
Qualifications and requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be a dependable self starter, able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Preferably has experience with measuring tools, drafting and a Utility or Construction background.
