Lander Regional Hospital is an 89-bed facility that opened in its present location in 1983. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, is licensed by the state of Wyoming, and is approved for the acceptance of Medicare patients. Lander Regional Hospital features a full-time Emergency Room, a Level II Nursery and a Behavioral Health Program. State-of-the-art medical equipment includes Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and a Stereo-tactic Breast Biopsy unit. Lander Regional Hospital is the first hospital in the state to be approved as a provider under the Wyoming Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.

During the winter, there's cross-country skiing on six miles of groomed trails in the South Pass area. Snowmobiling is another popular activity. The Lander/Sinks Canyon area has 70 miles of groomed trails. Lander is the site to the southern-most trailhead to the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail, which you can ride all the way into Yellowstone National Park.

The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care through the use of the nursing process and is accountable for the practice as defined by the laws of the State of Wyoming. The Registered Nurse works directly with team members in the provision and maintenance of high quality patient care. Conducts and documents patient assessment and plan of care. Implements, and evaluates plan of care according to patient's condition and response. Demonstrates ability to work within the nursing organization guidelines. The Registered Nurse is accountable to the Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, or Nursing Coordinator as applicable. Follows the guidelines described in the Code of Conduct Ethics and Compliance Program. 1. Current registration as Registered Nurse in the State of Wyoming. Preference will be given for 3-5 years experience. Current BLS required. 2. Must be able to withstand the stresses and demands of an active position as listed in the Working Conditions Sections. 3. Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately and effectively in English through both written and verbal correspondence. 4. Must have knowledge (through training) or experience in performing patient care activities for infants, toddler & pre-school, school-age, and adolescent patients ages 0-17, adult patients ages, 18-65, and geriatric patients ages 66 . 5. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals.
