Job Title: Regional Account Manager

Department: Sales

Reports to : Director of Sales

Function: The Regional Acc! ount Manager is responsible for generating revenue by closing sales. The Regional Account Manager directly sells B2B telematics products and services primarily via face-to-face contact. This quota-carrying position is primarily focused within transportation fleets.

NOTE: This position is not static and will be revised as the needs of Zonar Systems business and the Sales department evolves.

Essential Tasks and Duties

Prospect and sell products and services via face-to-face contact to new end-users for an assigned regional geographic area in order to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives.

Develop and execute sales plans, strategies, and presentations designed to meet and exceed customer needs that are consistent with approved Zonar methodologies.

Create and develop new relationships and maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and upsell additional solutions

Maintain knowledge of Zonar products and services, compet! itors, industry trends, and appropriate tools/technology/methodologies in order to facilitate sales efforts.

Develop and maintain pipeline that ensures on target production is consistently met.

Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties :
Perform timely administrative activities in accordance with Company guidelines.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of sales experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

Telematics or transportation/fleet industry experience preferred, but not required

Skills/Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with the following:

Strategic selling experience with proven previous sales success. Strong pipeline-creation and prospecting (minimum 50% of time) ability, including cold-calling, is required.

Managing effective relationships with a customer first orientation.

Account/selling planning and managem! ent ability through sales cycle with strong closing skills.

Self-starter who is up-beat and energetic.

Demonstrated self-motivation as well as ability to take direction, accountability for own behavior/results, and ability to receive feedback and adjust behavior accordingly.

Strong ability in time management, organization, and ability to work independently. Propose and manage efficient travel plans and expenses.

Strong technical aptitude.

Ability to communicate effectively (e.g., written and verbal) both internally and externally, including presentation skills.

Demonstrated adherence to high standards of integrity and ethics.

Ability to work effectively in teams, both within department and cross-functionally.

Ability to adapt to change and demonstrate openness to new ideas.

Type of Equipment Used:
Ability to understand and effectively use Zonar equipment and software, training will b! e provided.

PCs and various software packages

Everyda! y usage of telephone, email, CRM, etc

Work Environment/Physical Demands : Home office based. Work conducted in a various climates and conditions. 50-75% regional travel is required, including occasional trade shows. Required to visit many customer locations, which may also include truck/bus yard, maintenance facilities, and other industrial locations.

Measurement:
Achieve sales production quota

Develop and maintain an adequate pipeline to support sales production

Satisfactory performance of sales competencies
