This position will work closely with executive management to carry out strategic planning; focus on the formation of teams to execute analytics! , policy and program development initiatives to help position Wyoming as an innovative leader in education; monitor, evaluate, and adjust as needed to ensure goals are met; travel extensively with executive management and Director to attend meetings and conferences.
This position will also prepare large presentations and conduct research for the Director of the Department of Education; perform administrative functions; analyze data; plan and implement research projects; write grants; create and maintain databases for record and reporting purposes, and provide information as requested.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides information updates to appropriate personnel in agency, program, or project.
Monitors, tracks and records all documentation relative to the agency, program, or project.
Responsible for monitoring office phones.
Compiles reports for agency personnel.
Facilitate and lead research teams on a project bas! is to gather and synthesize information in order to assist exe! cutive leadership in building strategy, policy and program initiatives.
Build and deliver presentations which synthesize and communicate complicated information in a clear, concise, and results-oriented manner.
Assist in the planning and implementation of new projects and procedures; reviews new data to help implement new ideas.
Research, create reports and recommend enhancements based on research results.
Research, draft, monitor, and maintain systemic plans and records for programs/projects.
Produce oral and written reports based on review of research evidence.
Act as a liaison and respond appropriately to inquiries from stakeholders and general public.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of respective agencies policies and procedures.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
H! igh personal motivation, self-management, and detail-oriented.
Solid skills in public speaking.
Knowledge of various types of computer programs, including internet and electronic communications.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position may require up to 20% travel.
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to individuals with a Bachelor's degree PLUS 2 years progressive work experience.
