Description
The Lab Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing lab! oratory analysis (primarily gas chromatograph) for custody quality measurement and product quality control.
Providing technical support for gas chromatographs in the regional area.
Managing laboratory data for the region.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry is required.
5 years extensive industry experience with gas chromatography (both operation and maintenance) and other analytical methods commonly used in the NGL and Natural Gas industry is required in lieu of degree.
Experience with chromatography (both operation and maintenance), Wet Chemistry, GPA, ASTM, and UOP test methods in the NGL/Petrochemical Industries.
SQC experience in a laboratory environment, supporting charts and standard laboratory data systems.
Develop Chromatography specialized test methods and statistical data methods of quality of control.
Possess a strong commitment to personal! and job safety.
Must have a valid driver's license with a! cceptable driving record is required.
Must possess basic computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications including spreadsheet and word processing.
Good verbal/written communication skills, decision making skills and a strong work ethic.
Must be accountable and self-driven to learn, and to continuously develop and improve his/her skills through both formalized and on the job training.
