To provide superior banking services to customers in a professional manner. Provide the customer and potential customer with a clear understanding of the technical aspects and benefits of products and services o! ffered. Expand the customer base through successful selling techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Expand customer base through in-depth knowledge of retail services, products and selling techniques.
Recognizes selling opportunities and effectively cross-sells bank products and services.
Follows up on sales opportunities/prospects/refers prospect to appropriate department, such as Trust.
Acknowledges customer complaints and follows up on complaints and ensures customer satisfaction.
Process all financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner, accepts deposits and loan payments.
Redeems/settles/issues savings bonds, cashier checks, money orders and gift/travel cards.
Processess branch capture, credit card and mortgage payments.
Handles balance inquiries and resolves problems.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or equivalent job experience. Must have a minimum of six months cash handling experience as a teller or as a cashier in a retail store. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products helpful.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must enjoy working with the public on a daily basis. Requires good phone etiquette and the ability to handle difficult customers in a tactful manner. Must be customer service oriented. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships; self-sufficient; ability to sell products and services. Ability to interact as a member ! of a team. This position requires demonstrated social skills, professional grooming and adherence to FIB dress code. Word processing knowledge helpful. Good sales ability is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concret! e variables in standardized situations.
