Location: Green River Wyoming

Description: Williams Companies is at present recruited Environmental Specialist II right now, this vacancy will be placed in Wyoming. More details about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing environmental compliance issues in support of multiple facilities engaged in natural gas gathering and processing located in the Wamsutter Area, with assets located in Wyoming and Colorado.

Primary functions of the position include:

  • Prepare environmental reports, correspondence, work plans and permit applications
  • Interpret applicable environmental laws and regulations
  • Provide general environmental assistance to Operations and Engineering staff
  • Negotiate appropriate permit terms and conditions with regulatory agencies
  • Prepare and update SPCC plans
  • Prepare and update NPDES and other discharge permits/plans
  • Perform annual compliance reviews with operations staff
  • Prepare spill and release reports
  • Prepare and update environmental compliance procedures and training materials
  • Review and interpret new and proposed environmental laws and regulations and provide guidance to management
  • Provide accurate and timely entry of facility data in the Environmental Management Information System (EMIS)
  • Review and track stack test reports and Leak Detection and Repair monitoring reports
  • Prepare and update environmental budgets and process environmental invoices
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in an engineering or equivalent technical or scientific field and at least 2 years of experience is essential.

Experience and detailed knowledge of general environmental issues is required, including those related to air quality issues, regulations, permitting, TITLE V and NSR; SPCC and other spill plan requirements; NPDES issues; and EPCRA/CERCLA and general release reporting. Knowledge of specific Federal and State environmental laws and regulations as they apply to the natural gas industry is a plus. Proficient use of PC-based applications (MS Word, Excel, Internet and databases) is required. This position requires a team player with the ability to multitask, to manage shifting priorities, and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with skills and experience.
